Shawville Figure Skating Club

The Shawville Figure Skating Club is located in a small rural Quebec community, which allows club and executive members to interact and to get to know one another while working towards keeping registration costs low.  Our dedicated group of parent volunteers involve the larger community whenever possible to plan events and fundraisers. 

Our goals include bringing a real sense of community to these activities, and to thank our supportive Shawville and area businesses.  We are keenly aware that their participation is important to the success of the Shawville Figure Skating Club, and we like to support them whenever possible.

Executive Meetings usually take place during the skating lessons, because many parents are already at the arena. These meetings are called a week or two ahead of time, and an agenda is prepared in advance.  The meetings are short, and usually centre around an upcoming planned activity, such as the Christmas Show, the February invitational competition, or the Year End Show and Pizza Party.  Any parent or community member wishing to volunteer with any club activity is encouraged to contact Ronda Richardson for the next meeting date and how you may help.
